Also known as ‘Woodland’ or ‘Alpine’ strawberry. These are North American wild plants that are genetically similar to the European wild strawberry. Tolerant of poor soils, drought and extreme temperatures.
Uses: Gourmet’s favorite strawberry due to its fragrant, small berry. Some say it is the finest tasting strawberry, highly prized by Chefs and luxury food markets.
Popular for use in gardens and planters as a bedding plant. Plants will stay low and have a spreading habit to fill a given area with dark green leaves, white blooms and bright red fruit.
